banda formada em leeds, na inglaterra, em 1977. os amigos jon king(vocal), andy gill(guitarra e vocal),dave allen (baixo) e hugo burnham (bateria) criaram a "banda dos quatro" que inspirou nada menos que franz ferdinand, nirvana, pixies, r.e.m entre outras. o clássico "entertainemnt!" é o primeiro disco e traz obras como "damaged goods", "natural's not in it", "5.45", "at home he's a tourist" e tantas outras. a banda encerrou atividades nos anos 80 e retornou em 2005 com o álbum "return the gift".
